Terms of use / General regulation of the BilheteJá Platform

This is a courtesy translation. The Portuguese version is the legally binding text and prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
The BilheteJá platform is owned by JUST MARKET, Sociedade Unipessoal LDA, company registration no. 518654311, with offices at Rua Rodrigues Faria 103, Ed I, 3.36, 1300-501 Lisbon, Portugal, hereinafter "Bilhete-Já" or "the Platform".
This Regulation sets out the terms and conditions applicable to the use of the platform for managing, promoting, selling and issuing tickets for events and shows.
Use of the Platform implies full acceptance of this Regulation.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of this Regulation:
- Platform: the BilheteJá website and services
- Promoter: the event organiser who makes tickets available on the Platform
- Buyer: the user who purchases tickets
- Digital Ticket: an electronic admission title with a unique QR code
- Event: a show, activity or initiative promoted by a third party
2. Purpose of the Platform
BilheteJá provides an online platform for:
- event management
- ticket sales
- issuing digital tickets
- validating admissions by QR code
- processing electronic payments
BilheteJá acts as a technology intermediary between Promoters and Buyers.
3. Registration and Use
3.1 Buyers
Customers register by providing their name and email address.
Tickets may also be purchased without prior registration, by providing an email address to receive them. To receive an invoice, a NIF (Portuguese taxpayer number) must also be provided.
The public may search and browse events. Customers may:
- select tickets
- purchase tickets
- receive digital tickets
- receive an invoice or proof of purchase by email (optional)
- transfer a ticket to a third party
Users undertake to provide true and up-to-date information.
3.2 Promoters
Promoter registration is subject to prior approval by BilheteJá. BilheteJá may request:
- tax identification
- description of activity
- IBAN
- contact details
- an ATCUD invoicing series (Portuguese tax authority document code)
- any other information required for verification
BilheteJá reserves the right to reject registration requests, suspend accounts, remove events and withdraw access to the platform whenever there is suspicion of fraud, legal non-compliance or abusive use.
4. Events and Promoter Responsibilities
Promoters are solely responsible for:
- organising the events
- the accuracy of the information published
- compliance with applicable legislation
- obtaining the necessary licences
- any legally required refunds
- actually holding the event
- checking QR codes at the event entrance
BilheteJá is not the promoter of the events made available on the Platform.
5. Tickets and QR Codes
5.1 Creating Events
The Promoter defines: name, description, category, date and time, venue, capacity, image or poster, venue map, age rating and the applicable VAT rate.
5.2 Events with Multiple Sessions
The Promoter may define independent sessions or dates and manage stock and tickets per session.
5.3 Ticket Types
The Promoter may define ticket types - for example General, Early Bird, VIP - each with its own price, quantity and sales period.
5.4 Seating
The Promoter may define general admission and zones, and upload an illustrative venue map (optional).
5.5 Sales Dashboard
The Promoter has access to a dashboard with real-time sales, accumulated revenue and report exports.
5.6 QR Codes
Every ticket issued carries a unique, non-transferable QR code.
Using their own mobile devices, the Promoter accesses the PWA application with the credentials provided, in order to validate QR codes at the event entrance.
Any attempt to reuse or forge tickets results in:
- immediate invalidation
- refusal of admission
- possible reporting to the competent authorities
BilheteJá may block tickets suspected of fraud or improper use.
6. Prices, Fees and Payments
Ticket types and prices are set by the Promoters.
The Platform may charge:
- fixed fees
- variable fees
- processing costs
- costs associated with optional notifications

The fees and commissions in force shall be those published on the website at the time the event is created.

The price payable for tickets is always shown in the buyer’s order.
Payments are processed through EUPAGO and its supported methods - MB WAY, Multibanco, VISA, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Invoicing is carried out through InvoiceXpress: the ticket amount is invoiced in the name of the promoter, and fees and commissions in the name of JUST MARKET, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda.
The promoter receives their net revenue in accordance with the plan agreed with BilheteJá.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
7.1 Event Cancellation
In the event of cancellation:
- The Promoter may cancel the event and is responsible for notifying buyers and for returning amounts paid
- The Promoter is solely responsible for refunds to customers, whose list is provided by BilheteJá
- Fees and commissions charged by BilheteJá are not refundable
- BilheteJá assumes no financial responsibility for the amounts Buyers paid for tickets
8. Ticket Transfers
Where available, tickets may be transferred between users.
Each transfer invalidates the original ticket held by its holder.
Each ticket may only ever be used once.
BilheteJá may limit or suspend transfers in cases of abusive use.
9. Prohibition of Unlawful Resale
The Platform may not be used for:
- unlawful ticket resale
- speculation
- selling above the legally permitted price
- fraudulent activity
BilheteJá reserves the right to cancel transactions, block accounts and cooperate with judicial and police authorities.
10. Prohibited Use
The following are prohibited:
- using bots or automated systems
- attempting unauthorised access to the infrastructure
- reproducing or copying the platform
- circumventing security mechanisms
- creating fake events
- phishing or fraud
11. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, including:
- the "Bilhete-Já" trade mark
- design
- software
- source code
- visual identity
is the property of JUST MARKET, Sociedade Unipessoal, LDA.
Any use without written authorisation is prohibited.
12. Data Protection
BilheteJá processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data may be used for:
- processing purchases
- issuing tickets
- invoicing
- communications authorised by the user
The Privacy Policy forms part of this Regulation.
13. Platform Availability
BilheteJá will endeavour to keep the Platform continuously operational, but does not guarantee the absence of interruptions or technical failures.
Service may be suspended for maintenance, updates and security.
14. Limitation of Liability
BilheteJá shall not be liable for:
- event cancellations
- programme changes
- breaches by Promoters
- indirect losses
- loss of revenue
- internet or third-party service failures
The Platform’s maximum liability is limited to the amount actually charged in fees for the transaction in question.
15. Suspension and Closure of Accounts
BilheteJá may suspend or close accounts in cases of:
- breach of this Regulation
- fraud
- abusive use
- unlawful activity
- reputational risk to the Platform
16. Amendments to the Regulation
BilheteJá may amend this Regulation at any time.
Amendments take effect once published on the Platform.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Regulation is governed by Portuguese law.
The courts of the district of Lisbon have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, with express waiver of any other.
